The Tree Goddess…

The Tree Goddess is the theme of the paintings used on this site.

The Tree Goddess symbolizes MFI HR – It is our goal to nurture, augment and fortify MFIs and the larger ecosystem that is working towards the Economic Empowerment of Women.

In order to deliver to their end-customer, the Woman, MFIs need to grow and scale in a rapid yet stable and sustainable manner. They need to ensure that their teams are equipped to fulfill business needs and deliver to customer expectations.

MFI HR aims to strengthen the roots, the foundations of MFIs to enable them to deliver their promise of Business Success and Economic Empowerment for Women.

Cher Odum

Our discovery of Cher’s Tree Goddess painting was almost propitious!

We encountered an image of her painting in the early days of conceptualizing MFI HR. The Tree Goddess helped us knit the entire MFI HR Solution together. This painting was also the inspiration for our Community Resources section. [visit]

Sister Maria Liebeck

Sister Maria created this painting over 15 years ago, when several women formed a support group which they called Sister to Sister. This Group patronized the Helping Hand Food Pantry of Greater Little Rock, Arkansas. Even today, several of the original members continue to volunteer at the pantry with their grandchildren.

For us at MFI HR, this painting captures the spirit of the Community Resources section.

Through this Section, we hope to spread awareness, information and access to women all over, to help truly empower them in a holistic manner. [visit]

Krishnaa Nair

Krishnaa Nair, a budding 11 year old artist, based out of Bangalore, India calls this painting: “The Tree of Life”. She has created it as a gift to MFI HR and the causes we support. She dedicates this painting to Mothers worldwide who play such a critical role in “life-giving and nurturing”.

Susan White

Susan says that she has always had the image of the Tree Goddess firmly planted in her inner visionary world. She says: “I think the Tree Goddess is really me, is every woman's true spirit…The way our spirits are nurturing and protective of our loved ones, of the earth and of humanity. Her up lifted arms and hands are opening up to the Divine Presence of Light and Love, both letting it in her and celebrating it and spreading it out into the world and also protecting it.” In her painting, the moon symbolizes the female principal and the water symbolizes the ever flow of Life.
